EXOSPHERE Founded
EXOSPHERE is a multinational cybersecurity and weapons development corporation that was originally founded by the families of Nikola Radenović and the man now known as "Rook". When the ownership of the company was ultimately passed to Nikola, he partnered with Rook in opening a brand new division focused on advancements in artificial intelligence. Nikola's business savvy and Rook's astounding technical genius lead the company to great heights.
The Prodigy and PARAGON
As the company grew more and more successful, naturally so did its public presence. When world governments began to take notice, several attempted to purchase and ultimately seize control of EXOSPHERE. Eventually, multiple affiliate branches opened to both study the presence of demon activity on Earth and keep as much of it a secret as possible. Pressure mounted from investors and shareholders, which stroked Nikola's business acumen but forced an increasing number of restrictions on Rook's progress and research due to what many considered to be "ethical boundaries". Tension grew between the two, who had vastly different visions of EXOSPHERE's future. It became impossible to reconcile and Rook ended their partnership, but not before gutting the company by stealing away with his artificial intelligence research and all its associated technology.
Rook used this technology to completely erase his digital presence and vanish without a trace, intending that Nikola could not pursue him. That did not mean, however, that Rook abandoned his work. Without the boundaries imposed upon him by corporate policy and bureaucratic conditions he was free to become the technological prodigy that he is now. PARAGON was born of his brilliance.
EXOSPHERE's Activities
EXOSPHERE was alerted to the Archangel of Honor's presence on Earth, as well as the arrival of the Archangel of Hope in seeking him. A weapons research branch in Japan captured Hope and experimented on his body (see I: SONG OF HOPE).
When Kilton Reiss was revealed as Archdemon Antistriophe after nearly killing Hail Casimir, EXOSPHERE attempted to keep the story away from the public.
