The College and Career Access Center (CCAC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 and located in the Jackson Crossing Mall. All CCAC services are free and open to the public. CCAC partners with all 13 local school districts, placing a College and Career Advisor in each high school one and a half days per week. Advisors work alongside teachers and counselors to support students and families as they explore and navigate post-secondary options, including college, skilled trades, the military, and direct entry into the workforce.
CCAC advisors lead and support key post-secondary planning events such as FAFSA, scholarship, and decision day events, providing students and families with career planning and financial aid resources. CCAC also offers targeted initiatives, including Kids2College & Pathways to Professional Skilled Trades for 8th graders and Juniors Over the Local Circuit, which introduces students to local colleges through admissions presentations and campus tours.
At its core, CCAC believes in post-secondary match and fit, dedicated advising for all students, and ongoing education or training as a pathway to success after high school.
