The workshop will be held in person 8:30AM-5PM Thursday Oct 19 and 8:30AM-3:00PM Friday Oct 20 at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center, part of the UC Santa Cruz Coastal Science Campus, in Santa Cruz, CA.

We request attendees register no later than October 10, 2023.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriott (must book before Sept 15).   In addition, several other local hotels that have UC discounts.   Details below.

Transportation Guide:

We recommend flying into San Jose International Airport (SJC).  

Drive times from the airports to the UCSC area are as follows: San Jose airport ~45 minutes, San Francisco airport ~90 minutes, Oakland airport ~90 minutes.

We recommend using ride-sharing services from the Airport to Santa Cruz.

Parking at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center (Lot #201)

Parking for the workshop will be in Lot 201. Parking passes for both days are included in your registration. Parking attendants will be available at the entrance to the parking lot (follow the signs). Ask for a permit for the "GraPFiCs Workshop" and they will give you a permit for the day (you will need to ask again for the second day). Display the permit on your dashboard, and nothing else is required. In an attendant is not present when you arrive, park in the lot. come into the workshop, and we will get you a permit.

The Metro System Map is available here. One-way bus fare is $2.00. A day pass is $6.00. Fare information is available here. You can use the following Metro routes to access the Coastal Science Campus: 20, or 22. Please get off at the “Seymour Center” bus stop
