Grounds Maintenance

As a self-managed ground, we need to work together to complete maintenance tasks on the site.

Where a group of people is required to complete a task, ground maintenance events will be organised. But smaller tasks can be completed independantly around your own schedule.

Got a spare half an hour midweek? Maybe weed a flower border? Got snagged by an unruly bramble on your way in? Grab your secateurs and show it who's boss.

Maintenance sessions are (generally) - The 2nd Thursday of each month 1pm-2pm and the last Saturday of each month 11am-12.30pm

For these events please bring gardening gloves and secateurs if you have them. A group of people is required to trim and top the hedges, collect and dispose of the trimmings. Some of this will include lighter work such as raking/sweeping and bagging of trimmings. We do have a battery hedge trimmer which will be used by members who have reviewed the Health & Safety policy.
