About Jaime Grant

Jaime has spent the last two decades in the education space, as a science teacher in both public and independent schools, where she's served as a science department chair, curriculum and instruction lead, and as a teacher trainer and instructional coach. Jaime's academic expertise stems from her undergraduate degree in Biology from Howard University, with her mastery of teaching and learning acquired from the George Washington University where she obtained her M.Ed. in Secondary Science Education.

 After leaving the classroom, she was at the helm of an enterprise, strategic account for an EdTech startup specializing in high dosage tutoring, successfully bridging business and technology with the pedagogical matrix of education.  An expert communicator, Jaime has a knack for strategic planning and implementation, honing her ability to continually advocate for the needs of students and families. Though her expertise is in the realm of education, her passion lies in the empowerment of children to reach their fullest academic potential. Charting that path doesn't come with a one size fits all approach - something that parents are quickly realizing, especially in recent years.

Outside of her professional career as an educator, Jaime is a parent of two children with very different learning strengths and challenges, yet both have attended Woodward Academy since preK and have found success, largely in part due to the educational expertise used to support them at home.  With academic strategies used both in the classroom and beyond, Jaime understands that the curriculum of the home is just as important as the curriculum in school.

Assessing the unique academic needs of each child is key.  After an initial intake call, Jaime will prescribe a "Success Path" by having the student learn and accept their academic learning profile, then equip the student with the tools they'll need to navigate their academic journey by empowering them to advocate for themselves.
