My research focuses on the connections between economic activity, natural resources and the environment. I'm also interested in the economic characteristics and consequences of tourism and economic accounting, with a particular interest at questions at regional or city scale.

I have lead research projects funded by organisations including ESRC, UK Energy Research Centre, Scottish Government and other public, private and third sector organisations. 

In addition, I have held a number of teaching and programme leadership roles, as well as experrience of the design, development and delivery of online postgraduate programmes and modules.
