OpenDR is a European research project developing a toolkit for core robotic functionalities based on deep learning. Cyberbotics provides its simulation expertize and demonstrates the deep learning toolkit capabilities on the web.

The growing field of robotics is ripe for career opportunities, so when you learn robotics, you're on the cutting edge of a broadly expanding discipline. You can study for a career developing and building the robots themselves, or you can help write the software that powers the robots and directs them on how to perform their tasks. You may work with the robots that are exploring outer space, or you may help explore the deepest parts of the ocean using robotics. There are career opportunities in research as well, where you could have a hand bringing the next generation of robotic technology to life.

Courses offered on Coursera can help you learn about robotic mobility, self-driving cars, and the ethics of artificial intelligence. You can gain an understanding of robot safety, machine learning, and the fundamental mathematical modeling techniques that are essential in the robotics field.

Our Robotics Technician certificate program provides a technical education so that you can expand your training in robotics. It gives you practical knowledge and skills you can take to work and apply right away.

The Robotics Certificate program provides a basic foundation of industrial robotics and how they can be used in a plant or manufacturing system. RoboLogix, the simulation software integrated within the program, emulates real-world robotics applications, allowing you to gain robot programming training. It employs the basic principles common to the vast majority of robots currently in use in the automation industry including Cartesian and SCARA designs.

The articles in the scenario begin with the indictment for manslaughter of a programmer who wrote faulty code that caused the death of a robot operator. Slowly, over the course of many articles, students are introduced to factors within the software company that also contributed to the accident. They are shown software development as a social process. It is hoped that students will begin to realize the complexity of the task of building real-world software and to see some of the ethical issues intertwined in that complexity.

A high-throughput and innovative setup has been developed to automate the online integration of single drop microextraction (SDME), liquid chromatography (LC) and high-resolution mass spectrometry (QqToF). SDME and LC were online hyphenated for the first time. SDME was carried out by a lab-made cartesian robot actuating a 100 L syringe, equipped with a three-way solenoid microvalve that allowed the online transference of the enriched extract to the chromatographic system, through a six-port switching valve. The complete method, including the synchronized robot action, valves, and the analytical instruments, was controlled by an Arduino Mega board. The merits of the proposed setup were demonstrated by the triazines determination in coconut water samples. The most relevant extraction parameters, such as drop size, exposure time, stirring effect, salt addition and pH were systematically investigated. Under optimized conditions (60 L drop volume and 10 min extraction time), the LC-UV enrichment factors (EF) and the extraction recoveries (ER) ranged between 15.2-18.4 and 11.4-13.8%, respectively. Using the SDME-LC-MS setup, the linear range, detection limit (S/N = 3) and precision (RSD, n = 6 at 0.25 g L-1 level of concentration) were 0.25-25 g L-1, 0.10 g L-1 and 16.8% for simazine; 0.25-25 g L-1, 0.05 g L-1 and 14.7% for atrazine; and 0.25-25 g L-1, 0.05 g L-1 and 18.5% for propazine, respectively. Although none of the analytes were detected in the evaluated commercial samples, the results indicate that the proposed online SDME-LC setup is a competitive analytical strategy for the determination of target organic compounds in complex matrices.

HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is the traditional, but insecure, method for web browsers to request the content of web pages and other online resources from web servers. It is an Internet standard and normally used with TCP port 80. Almost all websites in the world support HTTP, but websites that have been configured with Certbot or some other method of setting up HTTPS may automatically redirect users from the HTTP version of the site to the HTTPS version.

I want to do some trajectory tracking on a real robot, and I want to use MPC, so I found this gekko. I can make to simulations of my robot and stuff, but is it possible to use it real-time, as I see it take some time to calculate the optimal solution, and I am not quite sure coding wise how to do it, if you just take the first imput and give it to the real system and then update the state values with the sensor reading, and then use the m.solve() function again, and so on.

We offer coding robots and STEAM (STEM + Art) educational tools that transform the way kids and teens learn, create, and invent through coding, science, engineering, and the arts. Looking to inspire your whole class? Shop our education packs.
