The Grand Canyon is a steep sided and massive gorge carved by the Colorado River. This national park is borded by Utah, Arizona, and Nevada with a majority of it falliing in Arizona. The Grand Canyon is known for its beautiful views, colorful rock formations, and geological history spanning millions of years. The canyon stretches about 277 miles and ranges in width of 175 yards-18 miles. This nearly 2 billion year old canyon has an estimated 5 million visitors each year.
