Philosophy
Philosophy
Granada ImproFest proposal is focused around free improvisation as the main driving force of artistic creation, recognizing its value not only as a musical practice but also as a tool for creative expression applicable to all artistic disciplines. Improvisation, with its roots in the movements for human rights and freedom of expression, is presented as a vehicle to explore themes of collective responsibility, social awareness, and sustainability.
Through this approach, GIF seeks to engage the audience in a process of reflection on how artistic practices can transform our perception of reality and promote cooperation and understanding between different cultural contexts. GIF is a space for collective creation that fosters improvisation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and intercultural understanding. With an ambitious program, educational activities, and an artistic residency focus, Granada becomes a meeting point for creativity and global artistic exchange, establishing a bridge between Spain and Denmark, with the future projection of expanding to other countries.
