Granada ImproFest (GIF) invites artists from all disciplines to participate in its 2025 edition, which willtake place in Granada. This international festival focuses on improvisation and interdisciplinary arts, offering a unique space for collective creation, cultural exchange, and professional development.
The festival, which has been alternating between Denmark and Spain since 2023, has become a reference in the contemporary art scene due to its promotion of collaboration between artists from various disciplines and cultures.
GIF 2025 will feature a four-day program that includes concerts, workshops, talks, interdisciplinary jams, and educational activities. In addition, it will highlight its intensive artistic residency, where participants will collaborate under the guidance of experts, culminating in a collective performance at the close of the event. This year will focus on the exchange between Danish and Spanish improvisation and interdisciplinary arts scenes with the intention of participating artists who are active in these two locations.

Dates and Location
The festival will take place over four days, in the last week of November 2025, in Granada, Spain.
The exact dates will be confirmed in early April, along with the results of the call, which will be communicated to the selected artists via email.
Elegibility
This open call is aimed at individual artists or groups of up to 3 members from any artistic discipline. As the program aims an exchange between Danish and Spanish scenes, applicants should be based or active in at least one of the mentioned art scenes. For the groups, at least one member should fullfill this criteria. Priority will be given to those with experience in free improvisation, interdisciplinary collaboration, or work in educational and community contexts.
Requirements to Participate
● Motivation letter explaining your interest in participating in the festival and how your artistic practice aligns with the goals of GIF (one letter per group if applying as a group) (1500 characters).
● CV of all participants.
● Description of the project to be presented at the festival. Include links to project documentation (video, photo, audio) (1500 characters).
Selection Criteria
● Flexibility and ability to work in collaborative and interdisciplinary contexts.
● Artistic quality, experience, and originality of the project presented.
● Commitment to the festival's values, including sustainability, social awareness, and the promotion of cultural diversity.
● Being located or artisticly active in Denmark or Spain.

The open call will remain open until March 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Documents must be submitted by filling out the form.
