Why the System is Intentionally Free

The Graham Pedal Hi-Hat System was invented by Andy Graham in 2015 and put into the public domain via Defensive Disclosure with this Youtube Video December 13, 2015,  and shortly after in the May 2016 issue of Modern Drummer Magazine, (published April 1, 2016.)

The purpose if this strategy was to make the concept 'prior art', preventing anyone (including Andy) from claiming it through the patent process. 

This decision was made after a brief effort to commercialize the idea. It just made more sense (and felt better!) to put the design into the world in this manner.

Therefore, the concept is offered free as a 10-year proven DIY design for those ambious enough to build one for themselves.

Below is the instructional video to build a Graham Pedal kit. Andy is currently producing another video to build a simpler, cable-driven version.
