For Concert band, I lead the School's Wind Ensemble and co-direct both the Freshman Band and the middle school bands. In this role, I pick music for the top ensemble and support others in building the best ensembles possible. Through these ensembles, we teach and reinforce correct playing technique and musical artistry.
As the Director of bands, I serve many roles during GEHS's marching season. I work closely with our design team and staff to help craft an amazing show and experience for the students. We teach hardwork, determination, and the pursuit of excellence through cooperation in this ensemble.
I lead the school's top band named the Griffin Jazz Ensemble. This ensemble currently competes in Nebraska and the surrounding states. The goal for this ensemble is to be a commercial style band that performs frequently. In this ensemble, I focus on teaching the style and history of jazz music. I try to program a wide array of jazz charts. I use this group as a chance to expose students to the standards as well as more recent compositions.
I served as the head director of the PLSHS winter winds ensemble: Titan Winds. In this role, I lead and planed rehearsals, assisted with the design for the show, and planed the overall season. I worked closely with a very dedicated and awesome staff that helped create a spectacular product. In the 2023 season, this group placed Second in Scholastic A at the Heartland Winter Arts Association Championships and Fourth in Scholastic A at the WGI World Championships. I am currently serving as the Vice President for the Heartland Winter Arts Association.

I had the opportunity to work with a team of directors that I highly respect at both Blue Springs South High School and Moreland Ridge Middle. In this experience, I worked with all of the ensembles at BSSHS, the 8th grade concert band at MRMS, and the 6th grade Trombone students at MRMS.
