Our goal in the creation of the Psychology Graduate Mentorship Program is to increase equity in the competitive process of getting accepted and completing a graduate degree in Psychology, as well as to inspire underrepresented groups to begin their journey in higher education.
As students in various graduate-level psychology programs at UCF, we are dedicated to diversifying academia and psychology through the mentorship of underrepresented individuals in this field. Our mission is to provide one on one mentorship to underrepresented undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing doctoral degrees in psychology, as well as answer any questions related to psychology graduate programs. Our dedication to diversity includes, but is not limited to: sex, age, ethnicity, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, social class, and disability. It is our goal to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment at UCF through this mentorship program
Please note we typically receive more applications than we have mentors. As such, we only open applications once a year in the Fall semester. Our application dates will be listed in our Calendar of Events. Those interested in applying for the mentorship program can apply here .
