Reading Comprehension

Reading comprehension is understanding what you are reading. It is complex and requires multiple skills. Sometimes, as children practice individual reading skills, they may lose what is happening in the story. This is why it is important to practice reading comprehension skills with your child using fun reading comprehension activities. 

• Your child is familiar with the SWBST method of summarizing! Ask him to summarize what he is reading using this strategy!
