Q: What do I do for Math? How does that work?
A: For Math, we are asking everyone to follow this order of completion for each lesson:

Concept Development - You will find all required materials in this area such as templates, videos, and anything else you may need. You can also find Templates for lessons in your Learn books.
Problem Set - You will find the Problem Set in this area for download.
NOTE: You will have a certain set of problems assigned so please read carefully. We love seeing extra work, but don't stress yourself out when we are not expecting the entire problem set to be submitted.
Of course, you are welcome to use the books we sent home and take pictures, as many of you are already doing. Please refer to the technical questions below for instructions on uploading, taking pictures, and useful tools.
Q: What do I do for IRLA? What's my Goal?
A: For Distance Learning, we are using the Weekly Reading Log to monitor reading requirements. Please continue to practice the skills you have learned so far as you read.
Q: How do I do the Reading Log and do I submit it every day?
A: Each day you should be reading for at least 30 minutes and complete one entry on your Reading Log.
Fill it out completely :
Date, Title, Pages You Read, Minutes You Read, Parent Signature and Answer the question.

Since it is a Weekly Reading Log, you will be submitting the one completed document once a week by the following Monday.
Q: What can I read, and where can I find books?
A: You have many options open to you for reading. Aside from books you may have already, you can access Bookshelf which is closely tied to IRLA, and other apps depending on your reading level and ability through MyPascoConnect.
You are welcome to read to siblings as long as what you are reading is on your grade level.
Q: What do I do with Exit Tickets for Math?
A: They are not a requirement for submission.
Q: Is all of that work for one day?
A: The work visible to you is for the entire week. We highly encourage everyone to pace themselves using the This Week at a Glance as well as the "What is My Job" announcements. Parents can view this on the website here.
Q: Do I have to do everything the lesson says?
A: Unless we say otherwise, yes. You will need to complete all work related to the lesson in order to understand and best answer any quizzes, tests, or other work that is graded. Be sure to keep everything you work on in order to reference it later to help you.
Q: I don't understand what to do.
A: Read over the instructions given in each section very carefully. Make sure you view all slides, videos, documents, and files related to the Lesson. We also highly recommend that students attend Zoom lessons for the subject they are confused with.
Q: What web browser should I be using?
A: MyLearning, MyPasco, and all of the Apps should be used with Google Chrome.
Q: I can't see and videos or documents! What do I do?
A: Make sure you are logged in to Office 365 through MyPascoConnect before going into MyLearning.
Q: How do I take a picture on my phone, computer, or tablet?
A: The answer here depends on the device being used.
Refer to the following for instructions for taking screenshots:
This will take a screen capture of what is on the screen at that time. Please be mindful of what you have on the screen if you are taking screenshots
For Android: Hold Volume Down and Power Key to take a snapshot of the screen.
For iOS: Hold the Home and power button down until it captures a screenshot
For Windows 10: Use the 'Snipping Tool' or 'Snip and Sketch' for the easiest way to capture an image. You can hit the Start button then type "Snip" to come up with either tool.
For Mac: You will need to hold down these three keys in this order Shift + Command + 3. Hold shift, then hold command, then press 3.
Q: I need to take a picture and upload it. How do I do that?
A: You will first take a picture using your preferred device's camera. From there you will follow normal Submission guidelines. Please check your devices' settings as not all of us are able to view .heic picture files.
To Submit a picture, document, or file you will Click the Blue Submit Assignment button like in the image shown below:
Then, you will be brought to this section:
You will click on 'Choose File' and select the correct image, document, or file to upload. Double check that the correct file is uploaded BEFORE submitting. You may add any comments if necessary.
Q: MS Stream isn't working. Why can't I see and videos? I did log in to Office 365 and it's still not working!
A: If the above does not resolve the issue, then these steps must be followed exactly:
In Chrome, under the Chrome tab (near the Apple icon in the very top left of your screen):
After choosing Clear Browsing Data, check all three options:
And select the Clear Data Button.
Q: My teachers cannot view the picture I sent. I don't want to do all of my work over again. What can I do?
A: Depending on the device used, some pictures are saved as an uncommon file format. On those devices it will look like a moving picture like a mini video, but not everyone is able to view these. This feature can and should be disabled when taking pictures of documents.
Here is how you do this:
Open your camera app on the device then follow the instructions.
iOS:
From the Photo view, tap the little concentric circle icon near the top (or side) of the screen to toggle Live Photos ON or OFF. Once it is set to off, you can take the picture and submit it
Android:
Click on Motion Off and then take your picture and submit it.
