Washington sits astride his horse while his soldiers march beneath him, and Jefferson consults his architectural plans in front of the university's Rotunda.Citation: Virginia: History, Government, Geography. The OER textbooks are available in digital formats for free under a creative commons license. These digital documents can be used and adjusted to support teacher and student needs. They can be loaded onto student electronic devices or printed in their entirety or as individual pages through school or district printing services. Formatted OER textbooks are also available to purchase in bulk at a low cost using a state printing contract.

To provide teachers with a formatting version of each textbook, PDF versions of the printed books are available to download for free. These files can be used to print the books in-house if districts and charters have a better system for printing or they can be loaded on student machines.

Reading science trade books is the perfect way for students to build literacy skills while learning science content. The books that appear in these lists were selected as outstanding children's science trade books. They were chosen by a book review panel appointed by the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) and assembled in cooperation with the Children's Book Council (CBC). NSTA and CBC have joined forces on this bibliographic project since 1973, when the list was known as Outstanding Science Trade Books for Children and was primarily targeted at grades K through 8. Beginning in 2002, the list has been expanded to include high school as well.

Representing the best science trade books published for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, the books featured on the list include captivating stories, compelling characters, and beautiful illustrations.

I was just wondering why there isn't an option to mark a student's work incomplete in the grade book when assigning a point based . You can apply a missing, late, or excused label but not incomplete. This would really help especially since I sync my Canvas grade book to PowerSchool.

As to why there are only missing/late/excused, I believe it has to do with the status being more than colors used to identify missing/late/excused assignments. They are actually designed to be used by instructors to to control what and how grades are calculated for a final grade. You can use the gradebook settings to deduct points for late assignments, choose to assign zero points for missing assignments, and excuse an assignment (it won't count for the student's final grade).

Canvas automatically calculates a final grade percentage for each student by totaling the number of points the student earns by the total number of points possible for all assignments. Because of this, assignments for which points possible are not specified are treated like extra credit, so be sure to specify the number of points possible for all required assignments.

Alternatively, you can select a Manual posting policy for your course [2]. Assignment grades are hidden from students until manually posted. Students can see peer review comments when assignment grades are hidden. However, students can only see instructor comments if the instructor posts grades or submission comments.

As of 2018-19, only the grades 5 and 8 Statewide Science Assessment is still being administered. For information about those assessments, visit the Statewide Science Assessment page of the FDOE website. Practice materials for the Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) are available on the FSA Portal.

The FCAT 2.0 Sample Test and Answer Key Books were produced to prepare students to take the tests in mathematics (grades 3-8) and reading (grades 3-10). Sample Test and Answer Key Books for grades 5 and 8 science are available on the Statewide Science Assessment page. The Sample Question Books are designed to help students become familiar with FCAT 2.0 questions and to offer students practice answering questions in different formats. The Sample Answer Keys are designed to be used by teachers to explain to students the answers and solutions to the questions in the Sample Question Books and to identify which Next Generation Sunshine State Standards benchmark is being tested by the question.

Whenever you find yourself writing long chains of if-else statements, see if you can find a pattern and use a lookup table. Here, we have only 5 grade buckets, but what if we had 20 or 100? You can see the if-else approach isn't scalable.

In this case, if we use the string "FFFFFFDCBAA" then we've enumerated all 5 grade buckets in a way that lets us index into after dividing the score by 10. The code for that would be: "FFFFFFDCBAA"[score/10|0] where | 0 is the floor operation, chopping off the decimal. The extra "A" handles the case of 100.

Bridges Practice Books provide activities and worksheets for additional skill review, informal paper-and-pencil assessment, preparation for standardized testing, and differentiated instruction. Each volume also includes answer keys and a complete listing of the student pages grouped by skill. Although originally written to complement Bridges in Mathematics First Edition, these books may be used with any math program. Note: These materials were developed prior to the publication of the Common Core State Standards. While the content retains its educational value, the grade level alignment may have shifted for some lessons and activities.

i'm facing a strange problem with our new moodle 3.5, we was working with moodle 2.7 and now we imagrate to 3.5 the problem that the grades of quiz not shown in the grade book as you can see in my screen shot below, one for gradebook shows the student got zero on the other hand when i open the quiz itself i found that the student already attend the quiz ad got 80%.

Is it just this one student or everyone on this quiz? Can you show us screenshots of the quiz set up screen (with feedback section) and then a screenshot of the specific grade settings (for that student grade, not the whole quiz)? e24fc04721
