I played for around 300 hours in 1.70, and in order to play freelancer I downloaded beta 1.62. That took about half a day. After a few hours I got bored of freelancer and decided I want to switch back to 1.70 to play my other saves, but when I switched back to 1.70, steam starts a 12 gb download that's supposed to take an hour to download. I am so confused. Why the fuck do I have to spend 12 gigabytes of my disc space and an hour of my time waiting for steam to download a version of the game I already have? I can't even play the game until it updates. Do I really have to do this every time I switch between versions? If so, this game has an ass backwards system when it comes to switching between versions. So far that has been the most frustrating thing about the game. It seems hellbent on taking up all my remaining disc space with it's needlessly gigantic updates.

Why not add the betas to the download page? Let people select beta version as an option there if you need to but make them easily accessible. This would also assist in people transferring the beta to another offline machine, for example, save bandwidth on the server in that sort of situation and remove the support burden of users asking where to find it from support &/or the forum.

These Rig Manager public beta revisions have short turn around times. I'm wondering if it is really practical - if Rig Manager is required plus the PC is located in a place without internet connection - to go back and forth with an USB memory stick to follow the evolution of the Rig Manager betas. Under such constraints it might be more effective to stick to release revisions.

I'm trying to download the Mojave beta, keep getting the message that my machine isn't enrolled. I've unenrolled it, restarted and installed the beta download app, checked that it is set to get beta downloads but still get the machine not enrolled message.

I'm having the same experience as you. The developer beta has been released, but the public beta has not. Currently the only way to get the 10.14 beta is through the developer program which costs $99. The public beta will roll out later this month, which is the program that I have enrolled in, and I assume you as well.

In fact my watch is not connected and I want to keep it like this and alpha are too risky for me so beta was the perfect middle ground for me but I don't have access to the firmware file anymore with the new beta program.

Ask this in the beta forum but also remember the current alpha is what you used to load so is no 'riskier' than before Garmin changed the naming. What Garmin now call beta is what was the Release Candidate software and generally more stable than what is now referred to as 'beta' but called 'alpha'

Thanks I posted in the beta forum. In the past beta and RC were available for download and I was testing (old) beta and quickly switched to RC. Now I would only get alpha, which is if I read you well, the equivalent of old beta, but would not get the RC. thanks for your answer

I uninstalled Intel Dropbox from my M1 Mac, then ran the offline installer for this M1 beta. It seems to run the Apple version but then I see it quit out and open an Intel version (according to Activity Monitor). I also see that the version that ultimately runs is not the same as the beta version number that I downloaded. Any ideas?

The beta phase begins once all scheduled major features have been included and a quality baseline has been established. Several beta versions will be made available during this phase, and their quality will improve with each iteration.

Editor: Removed the automatic upgrade code for UniversalRendererData from alpha and beta builds of 2021.2 to the current version as it is no longer required and was incurring a domain reload performance cost.

The Version Tag is the version that the beta release will becomewhen it is released. You can match the Git Commit Hash up with thegit log. The mostrecent release will have the largest Version Tag and Commit Numberand will normally be at the end of the list.

There are source code and binary packagesof beta and release candidates, and of the current development code availablefor testing and evaluation of new features. Note that these builds shouldbe used for testing purposes only, and not for production systems.

Help developers test beta versions of their apps and App Clips using the TestFlight app. Download TestFlight on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Watch, and iMessage. Apple Vision Pro will already have TestFlight installed.

Each build is available to test for up to 90 days, starting from the day the developer uploads their build. You can see how many days you have left for testing under the app name in TestFlight. TestFlight will notify you each time a new build is available and will include instructions on what you need to test. Alternatively, with TestFlight 3 or later, you can turn on automatic updates to have the latest beta builds install automatically.

When the testing period is over, you'll no longer be able to open the beta build. To install the App Store version of the app, download or purchase the app from the App Store. In-app purchases are free only during beta testing, and any in-app purchases made during testing will not carry over to App Store versions.

Note: To automatically download additional in-app content and assets in the background once a beta app is installed in iOS 16, iPadOS 16, or macOS 13, turn on Additional In-App Content in your App Store settings for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

You can send feedback through the TestFlight app or directly from the beta app or beta App Clip by taking a screenshot, and you can report a crash after it occurs. If you were invited to test an app with a public link, you can choose not to provide your email address or other personal information to the developer. Apple will also receive all feedback you submit and will be able to tie it to your Apple ID.

If your device is running iOS 12.4 or earlier, tap Send Beta Feedback to compose an email to the developer. The feedback email contains detailed information about the beta app and about your iOS device. You can also provide additional information, such as necessary screenshots and steps required to reproduce any issues. Your email address will be visible to the developer when you send email feedback through the TestFlight app even if you were invited through a public link.

When you take a screenshot while testing a beta app or beta App Clip, you can send the screenshot with feedback directly to the developer without leaving the app or App Clip Experience. Developers can opt out of receiving this type of feedback, so this option is only available if the developer has it enabled.

When you test beta apps or beta App Clips with TestFlight, Apple will collect and send crash logs, your personal information such as name and email address, usage information, and any feedback you submit to the developer. Information that is emailed to the developer directly is not shared with Apple. The developer is permitted to use this information only to improve their App and is not permitted to share it with a third party. Apple may use this information to improve the TestFlight app and detect and prevent fraud.

When you send feedback through TestFlight or send crash reports or screenshots from the beta app, the following additional information is shared. This information is collected by Apple and shared with developers. Apple retains the data for one year.
