Literacy

One great resource we use in class is Readworks.org. It is a free resource with articles on all different topics. Your student can find an article they are interested in and read. If they want, they can try the questions at the end, or share their thoughts on their reading with their teacher through email!

Students can read and listen to books online using Epic. If your student does not know their log in info, they can join Ms. McLaughlin's class by entering the code: vaa2785.

Scholastic is also offering a free learn-at-home program with 20 days worth of learning activities and fun! (You may have to click the link twice!)

Scholastic's Story Starters offers a writing activity that generates creative writing prompts, from general fiction to adventure, fantasy, and science fiction.

Storyonline allows you to listen to a variety of stories with streaming videos. Each story features an actor reading a children's book alongside creatively produced illustrations.

Raz-Kids is an online guided reading program with interactive ebooks, downloadable books, and reading quizzes.

Audible is offering free audio books for kids during this time.
