Nwogiji Cletus Olando, a Nigerian, serves as an assistant lecturer at David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences in Uburu, Nigeria. He is currently seeking admission to a PhD program in Biological Science in the USA for fall 2024. With financial aid from the organization, Cletus has applied to five schools and plans to apply to more. This support helped him overcome the hurdle of application fees, bringing him closer to his goal of pursuing a PhD in the USA.
Cletus received first honor in his Bachelor's degree in Applied Biology and achieved distinction in the M.Sc. program in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the prestigious Ebonyi State University, Nigeria. Furthermore, he has a Master's degree in Biostatistics with distinction from Abomey-Calavi University in Benin Republic.
Nabin obtained his B.E. in Civil Engineering from Pulchowk Campus, IOE, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. At Pulchowk, he founded and led the Maths and Physics Society (MAPS) and conducted national integration bee. He was also involved in multiple research labs and first-authored two journal articles. He is currently applying to graduate school to study the development and application of numerical and scientific machine learning models in the broader field of hydrology and climate sciences.
Before college, Nabin won the Nepal Physics Olympiad (NePhO) 2018. Frustrated by the lack of resources when preparing for NePhO, he collaborated with his IPhO colleagues to release an open-source book on physics olympiad preparation.
In his free time, he enjoys playing chess, solving sudokus and reading fiction.
Samvid, a Nepalese scholar specializing in civil engineering research, focuses on structural isolation and life cycle energy modeling for infrastructures. With numerous impactful research papers, he aims to gain admission to top-tier US universities for a PhD program. As he applies to multiple institutions for Fall 2024, he has successfully secured funding to cover application fees at eight universities
Lawrence Emmanuel stands out as an accomplished scholar with a profound expertise in both law and history. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Relations, highlighting his deep understanding of global dynamics and historical insights. He then pursued a legal career, achieving a Bachelor of Law degree (LLB) with an impressive cumulative grade point average of 4.13 on a 5.0 scale. This achievement underscored his exceptional grasp of legal principles and practices. Lawrence further advanced his legal studies by earning a Master of Laws degree, securing a weighted average of 69%, indicative of his mastery in this field.
His academic excellence has not gone unnoticed. Lawrence received admission offers from prominent U.S. law schools such as the American University Washington College of Law, University of Illinois, and Indiana University to pursue their LLM programs. Accompanying these offers were significant financial awards, ranging between $13,000 to $33,000, underscoring the high regard these institutions have for his potential.
Khuma Kumari Bhusal from Nepal is interested in agricultural research. She hopes to research how plant protection leads to sustainability in farming. She is applying for an MS in Plant Science at South Dakota State University for the Summer 2024 cycle. She received assistance on application fee as well as the IEE transcript evaluation fee.
Rabbi Coffie Baidoo has a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Ghana. His research background is in microbiology, and he has applied for a Ph.D. in Microbiology or Molecular and Cell Biology at Texas A&M University and Georgetown University for the Fall 2024 cycle. He received assistance on application fee.
Furqan submitted several applications in 2022 with partial assistance from the fund. He was admitted to one school but wasn't offered a stipend, so ultimately decided to not attend the school. However Furqan has went on to became a successful entrepreneur in the space of cryptocurrency and Web3 development.
Muhammad has completed a master's in Economics, a master's in Political Science, and an MPhil in Public Policy. He has 15 years of experience working with various NGOs, focusing on the upliftment and betterment of marginalized and deprived groups, especially women, children, and minorities. He is applying for a Ph.D. in Social Policy at Brandeis University.
Pius is a graduate from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. Currently working as an intern at the Kumasi Center for Collaborative Research in Tropic Medicine. He is applying to a few master programs in Biomedical Science for the Fall 2024 cycle and received help from the fund.

If you can secure a recommendation from a current PhD student in the U.S. or if you've reached out to professors (PIs) at the schools you're applying to and received positive feedback from them, these factors greatly increase your likelihood of being selected for financial assistance
