My top four character traits are appreciation of beauty and excellence, curiosity, kindness, and humor. I think that these are accurate, I generally think about success as a feeling rather than some tangible milestone that I might achieve someday. I feel successful when I work hard on a project and it turns out really great. I feel successful when I make my friends laugh, when I do something that makes someone else's day better, even when I just manage to get out of the house somedays. Ultimately my biggest goal in life and model for how successful I am would just be getting to the point where I feel genuinely happy to be alive every day. In order to get to that point there are things that go along with it, more tangible things that would define my success, financial stability, good relationships with the people I love, a job that I feel passionate about and allows me to feel like I matter.
I think that there are a lot of different life paths for me that would lead me to the feeling of success that I want, but the biggest step I would want to take after graduation and the dream I want to follow would be to move to New York and start my design career there, as I feel such a strong pull to the excitement and culture of New York and it’s design scene. I would love to work in the UX design field or even packaging design, preferably something where I can express myself more creatively and work with people that share my passion for the arts, along with paying me enough money to live in the city. Ultimately I do find money to be really important when it comes to finding a job but I don’t feel the desire to be rich or live a lavish lifestyle, I would rather I had a job that offered me more creative opportunities and paid me enough to have a comfortable little apartment than a corporate job that paid me a ton but I didn’t get to do anything that I was excited about. I think that there is a balance there that I am looking for and I really hope I’ll be able to achieve it.
