Grace Ministry Tampere: Celebrating 3 Years of God’s Faithfulness
What began as a simple “Prayer Time” among three dedicated nurses, Brother Myer Noble and Sister Corazon Morondoz along with her sister, has blossomed into a thriving community of faith. From those humble beginnings, God’s hand has continually guided every step of what would one day become Grace Ministry Tampere.
As the group met and prayed together, the Lord stirred their hearts to go deeper in His Word. Soon, this small gathering grew into a Bible Study group, where Pastor PJ Deposa was appointed to lead. However, after several months, life brought new challenges each of them received full-time jobs and pursued studies at the same time. With busy schedules and adjustments, the meetings had to pause for a season.
But God was not done yet. One day, a sister in Christ reached out, asking if they could start meeting again. With renewed passion and faith, four of them gathered once more, this time in Pastor PJ’s home. What started as a small rekindling of fellowship became a regular Saturday gathering filled with prayer, the Word, and joyful worship.
As the group grew, the need for a larger space arose. The Lord faithfully provided a student lounge or common room, where they met for over a year and a half. Week after week, hearts were drawn closer to Jesus, and a stronger sense of community formed.
Then, in God’s perfect timing, He opened another door, and Grace Ministry Tampere transitioned from Saturday Bible studies to Sunday worship services with a full worship band.
God led the ministry to its new home at Arkkitehdinkatu 9, where the congregation continues to gather, worship, and grow together in the grace and truth of Jesus Christ. Over time, the Lord has brought gifted and faithful individuals, each one using their talents to serve, volunteer, and help build the ministry.
On our 3rd anniversary, we looked back with grateful hearts at all God has done. The celebration overflowed with praise, prayer, and thanksgiving. From the joyful songs of children to the powerful presentations of the youth. Pastor PJ’s empowering message on Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego reminded us of the steadfast faith that stands firm even in the fire.
The photos captured during the celebration testify to God’s manifest presence among His people, smiles filled with joy, hands lifted in worship, and hearts united in love. Truly, from the very beginning, God has been faithful.
As we continue this journey, we remain deeply grateful for every person He has brought, every prayer He has answered, and every life He has touched through this ministry.
To God be all the glory, great things He has done, and greater things are yet to come!
