Hi there!
We’re looking for a Kids Ministry Leader to join our team at Grace Hills Church. We are a thriving, biblically-rooted, growing church in one of America’s fastest-growing areas that consistently ranks in the top ten places to live.
If you want to live out your calling at a fun, fast-moving, and family-oriented church, then read on…
You have a real relationship with God. You hear God, do what He says, and work every day to see more people going to heaven than the day before.
You are rooted in the Bible and sensitive to the Holy Spirit. You see the Bible as the foundation for everything you do and have a heart to be led by the Holy Spirit.
You have a passion for seeing people finally “get it.” You aren’t satisfied with just dispensing knowledge—you want people, specifically kids, to actually know God and understand that following Him is not that complicated.
You believe kids don’t get a junior Holy Spirit—They can hear God, encounter His presence, and be leaders right now. You’re passionate about helping them recognize God’s voice, walk in their identity, and experience His power, even at a young age.
You believe learning about Jesus should be fun, and you have a gift for making church one of the best parts of a kid’s week. Whether it’s a silly game or a serious lesson, you make space for both joy and depth.
You believe ministry to kids includes ministry to their families. You help parents feel confident and supported, knowing that their kids are growing spiritually and being poured into by people who truly love them.
You see the big picture. You catch and understand the broader church vision and make sure your ministry is moving us in that direction.
You can develop and communicate a strategy to your volunteer team. You have a good sense of vision and strategy, and you’re able to translate that into execution in a way your team can rally around.
You’re a doer with a high sense of responsibility. We meet once a week to align on vision, and then we trust you to run with it. You love seeing your work make an impact on where we’re going as a whole church.
You like to collaborate. Before going heads-down, you check in for alignment, ask for feedback, and enjoy being part of a team.
Your organizational skills are top-notch. You'll be responsible for multiple projects and tasks at any given time and can keep these organized and prioritized to ensure work gets done right and on deadline.
You have an eye for people and details. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and improve things to make them more impactful. When you see something to fix, you feel personally responsible for making it better.
You believe relationships are critical to success. You build trust quickly with kids, parents, staff, and church members.
You like to have fun! We sure do.
Lead the kids of Grace Hills to know God and live out their purpose in a fun and safe environment
Build and develop a high-capacity volunteer team. You won’t just fill slots—you’ll raise up leaders who are equipped, empowered, and excited to disciple kids.
Balance both discipleship and fun. We want kids to leave knowing more about Jesus and wanting to come back next week.
Develop and communicate a compelling vision for Kids Ministry that aligns with the broader mission of Grace Hills—and translates clearly into weekly execution.
Oversee all Sunday morning Kids Ministry operations—including volunteer scheduling, preparing supplies, setting up classrooms, and ensuring services run smoothly across all age groups.
Recruit, train, and onboard new volunteers regularly to accommodate growth and maintain a high bar for excellence.
Create systems that make the ministry sustainable, scalable, and simple to run week after week.
Foster a culture where parents and kids feel known, cared for, and connected to the larger Grace Hills community.
Provide pastoral care to kids, families, and volunteers—whether that’s showing up to a birthday party, texting a parent encouragement midweek, or praying over a volunteer team before Sunday service.
Attend weekly staff meetings and collaborate with the rest of the staff to support church-wide events
Thriving church that is filled with young families.
Solidly rooted in the Bible.
People that desire to be discipled and not just go through the motions.
People who value how you are doing, not just what you can do for us.
Located in a city that is rapidly growing and bringing people to our doorstep. We have new visitors practically every week.
High retention and engagement rate.
Great work environment that has led to a very low staff turnover.
Growing church that has doubled in size over the last two years.
High-performing staff that you can run with.
With over 200 miles of biking and hiking trails, an emerging locally-sourced food scene, the world-renowned Crystal Bridges Museum—Northwest Arkansas has something for everyone.
NWA has been recognized as one of the top places to live and raise a family and was recently dubbed the “New Capital of Cool” by The Wall Street Journal. Our area is one of exponential growth and development and our communities include transplants from all over the globe. We are home to three Fortune 500 company HQs, known as the mountain biking capital of the world, consistently rank in the top ten places to live, and are the 15th fastest-growing area in the United States.
Are you an artist? Foodie? Love the outdoors? Whatever you’re into, we know you’ll love it here.
At Grace Hills, we understand that not all ministry happens inside the church building. That’s why we’ve designed a work rhythm that provides structure and flexibility. Our regular office hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 9 AM to 2 PM, giving you time to collaborate with the team, plan, and prep for Sundays in person—while still leaving space in your week to do ministry outside of the church: in homes, at parks, over coffee, or at school events. You’ll have the freedom to spend your time where it makes the biggest impact in the lives of Grace Hills kids and families.
