Grace McCourt

I am an assistant professor at the University of Rhode Island in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematical Sciences.  My research is in extremal combinatorics and graph theory. 

I was a  postdoctoral research associate at Iowa State University under the guidance of Shira Zerbib. I completed my PhD in 2024 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, supervised by Alexandr Kostochka. I completed my master's degree in 2019 at Miami University, supervised by Louis DeBiasio.

I co-organized the Discrete Mathematics Seminar at Iowa State University.

I co-organized the Topological Methods in Combinatorics Summer School, May 27-31, 2025 at Iowa State.

I co-organized the Summer Schools in Graph Coloring and Algebraic Methods in Combinatorics, as well as the EXCILL IV Conference, Summer 2023 at UIUC.
