About Grace

My name is Grace Goodwyn and I am a 2017 graduate of North Central College where I pursued a double-major in Interactive Media Studies: Graphic Arts and Studio Art with a minor in Art History. While there, I was an Assistant Student Coordinator at Oesterle Library and a Student Graphic Designer at the Office of Marketing and Communications on campus. I also spent time as a Student Graphic Designer for the student-run, on-campus design agency Viewfinder and was Vice President of SLIP (Students Lost In Pottery) Club.

Currently, I am the Graphic Design and Display Coordinator at Downers Grove Public Library. There, I follow and redesign branding elements; Create posters, flyers, bookmarks, and other handouts as needed for library programming; Design, layout, and edit “Discoveries,” the library’s the bimonthly newsletter; Curate and maintain gallery spaces on a monthly basis; Research and build displays (both artistic and educational) to be shown in window displays; Sustain interdepartmental relationships and provide visual aids needed; Co-lead the interdepartmental Innovation Team that strives to find new and engaging materials for our patrons.

Besides graphic design, my artistic interests include ceramics, illustration, and embroidery. I am fascinated by the creative process, seeing projects develop from ideas to fully-fledged project.
