We are so excited to share a little of the journey that ultimately turned into Graber Barn and Vineyards.
~David & Cindy Graber
The barn at Graber Vineyards was originally built by Clarence Graber circa 1952.
Clarence (shown sitting on the tractor) and his wife Gertie Graber, lived on the farm from 1952-1981. Clarence was a farmer and a carpenter.
The barn was the first building project that Clarence started on the farm. As a carpenter, he was especially proud of the laminated rafters built especially for the farm.
This is how the barn looked in 2017 when it was used as a backdrop for the album Elliott Graber and the Family Vines. Notice the hay and holes!
The tin roof of the barn was added and barn painted in 2017 for son Elliott Graber’s wedding.
The decision was then made to renovate the inside of barn for daughter Ashley Graber’s wedding in 2018.
The bar was the front of an old Ford, rescued from the shelter belt. It makes an appearance at almost every event.
Every year, since renovation, the barn is used in our Grape Harvest celebration that occurs in September.
