Welcome to the department of Mechanical Engineering at Government polytechnic,Waghai.Our Department Awarded with National Board of Accreditation upto 2026-2027. As one of the oldest and most respected engineering disciplines, mechanical engineering plays a vital role in shaping the modern world. The department consists of highly qualified,well experienced,well trained and dedicated faculties. Our department is equipped with smart laboratories facilities including:CAD/CAM, Fluid Mecahnical& Hydraulic Machines.Measurment & Metrology,Thermal Engineering,Drawing,Industrial Engineering. Department have well equipped workshop facilities including: Machines shop,Carpentry,Welding,CNC Machines.the department encourages and supports students in extra and co-curricular activities like sports,cultural programmes etc.

Program Educational Objectives

The Educational Objectives of Mechanical Engineering Program represents major accomplishments that we expect from our diploma holder to have achieved three to five years after Diploma are given below.

PEO-1 Practice mechanical engineering in a broad range of industries

PEO-2 Pursue advanced education and other creative and innovative efforts in science, engineering, and technology, as well as other professional careers.

PEO-3 Conduct themselves in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner.

PEO-4 Participate in activities that support humanity,  economic development nationally, globally and  developing as leaders in their fields of expertise.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

PSO 1: Student can apply program specific principle to design, fabrication, operation or demonstration of basic mechanical system.

PSO 2:  Plan and supervise manufacturing operation at a shop floor of machine tool based manufacturing industries.
