1. INTRODUCTION & OVERVIEW
--------------------------
This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing, storage, and protection of information by "Phone Tracker: GPS Location" ("we", "our", "us", or "the App").
We are committed to the highest standards of data protection, transparency, and user privacy. This policy has been drafted in strict accordance with:
• Google Play Developer Program Policies (User Data, Permissions, and Anti-Stalkerware guidelines)
• European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - Regulation (EU) 2016/679) & ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC)
• United Kingdom Data Protection Act 2018 (UK GDPR)
• United States Federal and State Privacy Laws (including California CCPA/CPRA, Virginia VCDPA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA, Texas TDPSA, and FTC Act standards)
2. GOOGLE PLAY ANTI-STALKERWARE & TRANSPARENCY COMPLIANCE
---------------------------------------------------------
"Phone Tracker: GPS Location" is an informational GPS utility, travel navigation assistant, and telecommunications directory lookup tool.
• NO COVERT TRACKING / NO STALKERWARE: This App does NOT function as spy software, secret monitoring software, or hidden stalkerware.
• PERMANENT LAUNCHER VISIBILITY: The App icon remains permanently visible in your Android app drawer and home screen. It cannot be hidden, disguised, or masked.
• NO BACKGROUND SPYING: The App does NOT continuously record or transmit your or anyone else's location in the background without clear, ongoing knowledge.
• PRE-PERMISSION RATIONALE DIALOGS: Before requesting any runtime permission (Location or Contacts), a prominent in-app rationale screen clearly informs you why access is needed and requests your explicit affirmation.
3. INFORMATION WE PROCESS AND HOW IT IS USED
--------------------------------------------
A. FOREGROUND PRECISE & APPROXIMATE LOCATION
- System Permissions: ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
- When Accessed: STRICTLY IN THE FOREGROUND while the App is open and actively displayed on your device screen.
- Purposes of Processing:
• Centering map view and showing your current position ("Where Am I" tool)
• Providing real-time metrics for driving, cycling, and walking (Speedometer and Digital Compass)
• Saving your parked vehicle spot and guiding you back ("Find My Parked Car")
• Discovering local amenities, restaurants, ATMs, and emergency facilities ("Nearby Places")
- Local Storage & Zero Breadcrumbs: Coordinates are processed on-device. We do NOT maintain continuous 24/7 background movement history or persistent remote tracking logs.
B. DEVICE CONTACTS (STRICTLY OPTIONAL & ON-DEVICE ONLY)
- System Permission: READ_CONTACTS
- Purpose: Enables you to browse your address book within the "My Contacts" screen to quickly look up phone area prefixes or initiate a call.
- ZERO SERVER UPLOADS: Your contacts remain 100% on your local device. We NEVER upload, transmit, harvest, store, or sell your contacts to our servers or any third-party marketing services.
C. PHONE NUMBER LOOKUP DIRECTORY QUERIES
- Purpose: When you input a phone number, the App queries regional prefix databases (country codes, area codes, and telecom operator routing) to identify registered regional details.
- Policy Disclosure: Number lookups return official telecom registration data (country, state/region, carrier name, line type). It does NOT reveal the live, real-time physical GPS location of an individual.
D. DEVICE & DIAGNOSTIC DATA
- Anonymous Data: Operating system version, device model, language preferences, and crash analytics gathered through Google Play Services to monitor performance and resolve bugs.
4. EUROPEAN UNION (EU/EEA) & UNITED KINGDOM (UK) CONSENT & GDPR COMPLIANCE
