This privacy policy applies to the GPS Map Navigation mobile app. It explains what information the app uses and why it is needed.
The app may ask for access to your approximate or precise location. Your location is used to show your position on the map, provide routes, find nearby places, display local weather, and add location details to photos or videos created with the GPS Camera.
The app does not request access to your location in the background. It uses location only while you are using a feature that needs it.
If you choose to save a location, its address, coordinates, and time are stored on your device as location history. You can delete saved locations from the app.
Camera access is needed only when you use the GPS Camera feature. Microphone access is used when you record a video with sound.
Photos and videos created with this feature are saved on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers.
Older Android devices may also request storage permission so the app can save these files.
The app uses Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Remote Config, and Cloud Messaging.
These services may collect information such as:
App activity and screens viewed
Device and app information
Crash reports
App performance information
IP address
Firebase installation identifiers
Notification tokens
This information helps us understand how the app is used, fix technical problems, improve performance, manage app settings, and send notifications.
Analytics events do not contain your saved location history or the contents of your photos, videos, or audio recordings.
When you use the weather feature, your latitude and longitude are sent to Open-Meteo to provide a local weather forecast.
The app also uses Google Maps and Google Play services. Google may receive information such as coordinates, map searches, device information, and IP address when these features are used.
Some route, nearby-place, and Street View features may open Google Maps or another map application installed on your device.

The app may save the following information locally on your device:
Language and app settings
Onboarding status
Saved locations
Saved areas
Notification token
GPS Camera media information
The app does not require you to create an account.
Locally stored information remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app.
Photos and videos saved in shared device storage may remain after the app is uninstalled. You can delete them through your gallery or file manager.
We do not sell your personal information.
The current version of the app does not use an advertising SDK.
Information is shared only when required to provide a feature. For example, coordinates may be sent to Google Maps or Open-Meteo, and technical information may be processed by Firebase.
The app also allows you to share locations, photos, and videos through Android’s sharing menu. When you choose another app for sharing, that app handles the information according to its own privacy policy.
The app may request permission to access your:
Approximate or precise location
Camera
Microphone
Notifications
Device storage on older Android versions
You can allow or deny these permissions. You can also change them later through your device settings.
Some features may not work if you deny the permission they require.
You can remove saved history from within the app. You can also clear all locally stored app data through Android Settings or by uninstalling the app.
We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
We may update this privacy policy when the app, its features, or its services change.
The latest version will be published on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be changed accordingly.
