Hello and welcome to Art Class!
Class overview
The art room is an active environment and I strive to make it not only a place of learning, but an opportunity for new experiences. I want ALL students to feel respected and safe!
Over the next course of the school year, we will complete a series of art exercises and projects. Students will learn a variety of information with each project, such as art styles, elements and principles, and principles of design, and will experiment with various art mediums. Each student will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and make personal choices with each project. Content will also be assessed with tests/ quizzes which we will review and prepare for in class. Laptops are a resource in art & should be brought to class frequently.
About me
Hello, I would just like to introduce myself again as we move along into the next part of the text. My full name is Tyler Monaco, I have an Associates in Art and Science: Art Option from RCSJ, and Bachelors in Art Education from Rowan University.
My inspiraiton to become a teacher came form my senior year english teacher, Amanda Ottinger. Since having her, Ms. Ottinger had tranitioned to teaching middle school but still makes quite the impact on her students lives. Seeing the caring and compassion she had for her students was what made me feel like I had a purpose. Knowing how she made me feel, I wanted to recipricate that feeling for others, hence the reason I because a teahcer in the field I love, art. I want everyone to feel loved and accepted when they enter my classroom.
