GPS Camera — Privacy Policy Last Updated: May 28, 2026 | Effective Date: June 1, 2026
GPS Camera ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
The App accesses your device’s precise location only to embed GPS coordinates and a human-readable address onto photos you capture. Location processing occurs on your device and is not stored on our servers.
Camera permission is used solely to display the camera preview and capture photos within the App. We do not upload, transmit, or store your camera feed externally.
Storage or photo library access is required to save GPS-stamped photos to your device gallery and display saved photos inside the App.
We may collect limited non-identifying technical information such as device model, operating system version, crash logs, and app performance diagnostics to improve app stability and performance. This information does not personally identify you.
The App may display advertisements after opening the camera screen. Ads are limited to a maximum of once per day per device. Third-party advertising providers may collect limited anonymous device information such as advertising identifiers, device type, or basic usage metrics for ad delivery and fraud prevention purposes. We do not share your photos, camera feed, or precise GPS location with advertisers.
We do NOT collect names, email addresses, passwords, contacts, payment details, or account credentials. No sign-up or account creation is required to use the App.
We use collected information solely for the following purposes:
To overlay GPS coordinates and readable addresses onto captured photos.
To save stamped photos locally to your device gallery.
To display saved photos inside the App gallery.
To maintain app functionality and diagnose crashes or technical issues.
To display limited advertisements within the App.
We do not use your data for behavioural profiling, cross-app tracking, or selling personal information.
All photos, GPS metadata, and generated images are stored exclusively on your device’s local storage. We do not operate cloud storage, remote databases, or servers that store your personal photos or location history.
Photos remain on your device until you manually delete them. Removing or uninstalling the App does not automatically delete photos already saved in your device gallery.
Anonymous crash logs or advertising diagnostics collected by third-party SDKs may be retained according to the retention policies of those providers.
(ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription)
Used to obtain precise GPS coordinates and convert them into a readable address for embedding onto photos.
(CAMERA / NSCameraUsageDescription)
Used to open the camera preview and capture photos.
(READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription)
Used to save stamped photos to your gallery and display them inside the App.
All permissions are required for core App functionality. The camera screen may not function properly if permissions are denied. You may revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties.
Because photos and GPS data remain stored locally on your device, we generally do not possess personal user data to transfer or disclose.
If you choose to share photos using your device’s native sharing options, such sharing is governed solely by the privacy policies and practices of the external platform or service you choose.
The App may use trusted third-party services for limited functionality, including:
Geocoding services (such as Apple Maps or Google Maps) to convert GPS coordinates into readable addresses.
Advertising services to display advertisements within the App.
Crash reporting or analytics services for diagnosing technical issues.
These services may receive limited technical or device-related information necessary to provide their functionality. No photos, live camera feed, or precise embedded photo metadata are shared with advertising providers.
Use of third-party services is subject to their own respective privacy policies.
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of data.
Since we do not maintain personal user accounts or remotely store personal photos or location history, most user-controlled data can be managed directly on your device by deleting saved photos or uninstalling the App.
For any privacy-related requests or questions, you may contact us using the information provided below.
Because all photos and GPS data remain stored locally on your device, protecting your device is important for maintaining your privacy.
We recommend:
Using a strong device passcode or biometric lock.
Keeping your operating system updated.
Installing App updates regularly.
Avoiding unauthorized physical access to your device.
While we strive to use commercially reasonable safeguards, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in features, legal requirements, or third-party services.
When updates are made:
The "Last Updated" date will be revised.
Material changes may be communicated through an in-app notification.
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
