The Graduate Program on Physics for the Universe (GPPU) at Tohoku University is designed to cultivate graduate students capable of leading international research projects and enhancing their global career prospects. As part of this program, we will host the GPPU School from September 1 to 4, 2025, at Tohoku University.
Venue: Kita-Aobayama Library Event Space (MAP) and Science Complex C (MAP), Multi-purpose room (N204). Please see Timetable.
The school will cover a wide range of scientific topics aligned with the goals of GPPU, including elementary particle physics, nuclear physics, astronomy, and astrophysics. It will feature plenary lectures and student presentation sessions. In the plenary sessions, leading researchers will provide overviews of their fields and discuss key scientific challenges. During the student sessions, selected GPPU Ph.D. students will give oral presentations, while both master’s and Ph.D. students will present their work during a poster session.
For GPPU students:
Information on the requirements for earning mandatory course credits is available [here]. Details on how to obtain GSP can be found [here].
