Becoming a GPHA member is an excellent way to develop your academic and professional public health career. Other membership perks include:

Unfortunately, membership is not free. However, the GPHA membership dues are as little as $10 per semester or $15 per academic year. You have the option of paying through our agency account or the UNC Charlotte CashApp account.

Members are required to pay any outstanding membership due and attend a minimum of 3 events each month (that is, the mandatory general body meeting and any two additional events of their choice) to be eligible for a stole upon graduation.

We host at least three events every month during each semester, which include:

• 1 Learning Event (Lunch & Learn, Concentration/ Internship Panel, Alumni Panel, Green Dot Training)

• 1 Community Service Event (Volunteer, Food Drive, Voter registration, World Aids Day campus event)

• 1 Friday Socials

• 1 General Body Meeting

We understand that it may not be feasible for everyone to attend most of our in-person events. Hence, we try as much as possible to make most events hybrid (in-person and virtual)! If you missed any event, check here to view our post-event recordings.

Yes! Every member of GPHA is encouraged to complete five (5) service hours per semester. You will be notified of available community service/ volunteer opportunities throughout the academic year.
