Bylaw proposal changes

Following our last meeting - June 14th, 2022 the By Laws set for immediate review were considered and changes were proposed before approval. We will call to approve the proposed changes 30 days from now.

The changes proposed are:

To fall in line with the other middle schools in the district Gowana PTA will amend dues:

1. Updating annual dues from $6 to $7 per standard, additional and teacher member

2. Updating and offering annual dues of $5 per student member.

Pg. 5 - ARTICLE VI – MEMBERS AND DUES

Section 5. Each standard member of this PTA shall pay annual dues of $7.00 to the association. Additional family members will pay $7.00 per membership. Students will pay $5.00 per membership. Teacher and staff members will pay $7.00 per membership. The amount of such annual dues shall include the portion payable to the state PTA and the portion payable to the National PTA.

This formal notice will remain for no less than 30 days from now (June 15th) with the proposal to vote on it in July 2022 via virtual meeting.
