Who are we?

Current Executive Board Members 2026-2027

President - Danielle Simons

Danielle is mom to a seventh grader at Gowana and a fourth grader at Karigon. She and her husband Randy served three years as Co-Presidents of the Karigon PTA, where they helped run the Fun Run, which raised roughly $40,000 for the school, along with Trunk or Treat, Teacher Appreciation events, and Book Fairs. She continues to serve as Karigon PTA Secretary. Off campus, you'll find her at her son's flag football games or watching her daughter perform.

Secretary - Nupoor Gordon

Nupoor is mom to an incoming sixth grader at Gowana and a third grader at Karigon. She studied communication design at Pratt Institute and spent nearly ten years as a book cover designer at Random House. She now works at Karigon as the principal's aide. She grew up in Singapore and has lived in Hong Kong, LA, and Brooklyn before settling in Clifton Park. At home: her husband Mike, two daughters, a German shepherd named Titus, and a turtle named Marnie.

Vice President - Taryn Maloney

Taryn is mom to a ninth grader and twin sixth graders. She chaired Arts in Education at Karigon for eight years and at Gowana this past year, has served as a PTA Council delegate for both schools, and has sat on both schools' Partnership Teams. She holds a BA in Creative Writing and previously worked as an Admissions Advisor at SUNY Empire. She reads, paints, and negotiates daily walks with her small, stubborn Westie, Leia.

Treasurer - Megan Coville

Megan's son recently moved on from Gowana and is headed into ninth grade; her daughter joins Gowana this fall as a sixth grader. She has been an active PTA volunteer for years, serving as Karigon PTA Co-President from 2020 to 2022 and then Treasurer from 2023 to 2025, and brings that financial experience to the Gowana board.
