To showcase the multiplicity of voices - YOUR voice - and to celebrate the multitude of stories - YOUR story - that enrich the MCC community.
Submissions are now open and will close 10/31 🎃.
The submission page is accessible through the "Submissions" button above or by clicking here.
You will be able to include links in the submission form or send files to us via email.
For physical submissions, you will send us a photo and the approximate dimensions of the piece.
The following maximums are suggested, but you may send us longer pieces:
Poetry: 1000-words, single spaced.
Performance: Videos under 5 minutes; YouTube videos preferred
Fiction: 1800-words, double-spaced.
Creative non-fiction and essays: 1800-words, double-spaced
Comic strips and graphic novels/memoirs/story: 5-10 panels
Previously published or displayed work is happily accepted, but please make sure to include the publication details with your submission.
All accepted submissions will be published digitally, if practical, and/or physically displayed on one of our campuses.
We will not accept submissions which do not focus on identity or which include hate speech or hate mongering elements or which violate MiraCosta’s Standards of Student Conduct with regard to harassing, intimidating, or discriminatory behavior.
We will provide the means to publish anonymously or by using a pseudonym if requested.
Publication will begin on or before 10/16.
