When British Triathlon launched the GO TRI initiative they approached triathlon clubs and coaches across the UK to invite them to host GO TRI events locally. Dom Dos Remedios was at the time Head Coach of Tri2O Triathlon Club and thought it seemed a great opportunity to share the multisport love and bring newcomers to triathlon. So, in partnership with Green Park, GO TRI Reading at Green Park was born, in 2015.
In 2016, Georgia Jackson joined the team. Participation grew year on year.
In 2021, Dom stepped back from the organisational side of GO TRI.
Georgia has a wealth of participation experience in addition to their coaching expertise, inluding: Middle distance, Olympic and Sprint distance, Age Group World Championships in multisport, Aquathlon, Duathlon, running of all distances (5km to half-marathon and beyond) and terrains, SwimRun, marathon swims, mountain bike racing, cycling time trials, cyclocross ... to name but a few!
Georgia is a BTF Level 2 Diploma coach. Involved in triathlon since 1998, Georgia started coaching in 2016 after leaving a 15 year career as a doctor. She was Chairman of Tri2O Triathlon Club for 3 years and is on the sub-committee for organising the Reading Triathlon.
She coaches a number of individual athletes as well as for Tri2O club sessions, and swim technique sessions with Jennie Jones. Her children are highly trained marshals (to say "volunteers" would be pushing it), and her husband is probably the brains behind the whole thing and is usually to be found marshalling transition or making sensible suggestions.
Georgia is the Mother Hen of the team - busy, enthusiastic and always encouraging and positive with newcomers. She's also the baker of the outfit, specialising in brownies, flapjacks and banana muffins but dabbling in the odd lemon drizzle or cherry almond traybake.

Dom is a highly experienced Level 3 BTF Coach. He was a founder member of Tri2O Triathlon Club, instrumental in its inception and development in the early years, and was Head Coach of the club for a number of years. Dom was also voted BTF Participation Coach of the Year Award in 2014.
Dom set up the GO TRI Reading at Green Park Events in 2015. Georgia joined the team a year later, and now Dom has stepped away from triathlon coaching and GO TRI, to focus on his family and a return to a different career pathway.
We have a fantastic team of marshals who volunteer in all weather and bring with them enthusiasm, encouragement and good humour.
Most are experienced triathletes themselves, many of whom are members of Tri2O Triathlon Club, and some of whom started their multisport journey with a GO TRI.
We are so grateful to our marshals and couldn't put on our events without their support.
If you are interested in volunteering, you could do so by supporting the Reading Triathlon; get in touch with Tri2O Triathlon Club to find out more.
