Goto Download Voicemail [UPD]

We're new to GoTo Connect and recently set up a shared voicemail box . We sent numerous test messages without incident but had an employee leave a voicemail this morning and no email came through. We have another shared voicemail that we've been using that seems to work, but now I'm wondering if we've missed any because an email didn't go through.

Has anyone had issues with these emails being generated? Are there any logs on the GoTo Connect side that would show why the email wasn't generated? I ran a message trace on our email server and don't show any inbound emails from GoTo that were blocked for spam or junk. I was able to retrieve the voicemail by dialing the extension but that's what we are trying to avoid. Thank you.

Support wasn't able to identify a specific issue, there are no logs available it sounds like for emails generated (or not generated) for voicemails, but we haven't had an issue since. I'm cautiously optimistic that was just a one time thing. Thank you.

There are a few different ways in which you can access GoToConnect's voicemail system. (See How do I add a voicemail greeting? - GoToConnect Support for details.) The steps below work when using GoToConnect Desktop and Mobile, and/or your desk phone at Dartmouth. They do not work with a phone that is not part of Dartmouth's phone system (e.g. a home phone). If you are at home and need to update the voicemail greeting on your Dartmouth phone, and do not have GoToConnect installed on a computer or cell phone that is with you, log into my.jive.com then follow these directions. See =85346 for information on logging into the web portal.

With Dartmouth's phone system, you have the option to automatically send your voicemail messages to an email account, then automatically delete the message from your phone. If you do not choose that option you can listen to the voicemail messages left on your phone using the steps below. Note: You can only have 99 voicemail messages saved on your phone. If you are not going to have them sent to your email and automatically deleted from your phone, you will need to delete messages to keep it under this limit.

If you are not seeing voicemail messages in your email account, check your junk email folder. The sender of your voicemail messages will be "noreply@voicemail.goto.com". See =64559#3 for information on how to mark this email address as "safe" so, in the future, your voicemail messages will appear in your email's inbox.

My requirement is I will be making a outbound dial using Twilio client and verb. But if call is unanswered or not reachable it will prompt the caller to send digits (here 1) to go to voicemail and then caller will be able to drop a predefined VM. Can this be achieved using TWiml ? We are using Reactjs and Java. We have tried out AMD but AMD callback is not returning anything when I am calling a number which is unreachable and voicemail service is enabled.

I spent many long hours for my company this week trying to figure this out. When digging though twilio's documentation you may have come across this piece about modifying a call in progress. On the surface, this does not work but I kept digging. My coworker had a thought. Instead of using the call_sid, I used the child call_sid. This was the correct sid and allowed me to redirect the call to the voicemail URL. Hope this gives you an idea to accomplish what you are trying to accomplish.

Also, any time I call him my calls go directly to his voicemail without ringing (and we tried enough times to make sure that his phone was on and should've rung) but he can call me just fine and my phone will ring.

after this you can set the business hours and once you do that you will see a closed hours call handling portion and you can edit that and set the "when a call is not answered" to go to voicemail which in turn you can upload/record a VM greeting that will tell the callers to leave a VM. IF Vm send to email is enable on your account, you will receive an email when VM is sent to you and you can check it as well in Zoom soft clients and/or desk phones.

I am having the same problem. I received 2 voicemails yesterday that I can't listen to. They show up in my inbox with a blue dot that would indicate that can't download to my phone. It does list the length of the message.

If you're using an Android phone, please try doing the following to see if it resolves the issue:

1. Open your Android phone Settings

2. Goto App Management > HulloMail > Storage

3. Clear the Cache, and then clear the Data (some Android UI's call it 'Clear Storage')
