Below lies the official choreography for the two Gothic Tangos that will unfold at the 2026 Gothic & Fetish Gala.
After the main course has been served and the plates have been cleared, participants will be summoned to the dance floor to join Lady Hella and the House of Hella Team in a darkly romantic celebration of unity, passion, and Gothic grace.
Please read to the end as optional rehearsal dates are provided below for anyone who wishes to join.
On the night, the dances will be performed in the following order:
1) “The Last Tango” – James Dooley
The more challenging of the two pieces.
2) “Vampyric Tango”
The more accessible choreography. If you prefer to learn only one dance, you are welcome to join us for this second piece.
You are not required to learn both dances. Choose the one that calls to you — or embrace the full ritual and learn both.
Below you will find four instructional videos:
One choreography per song designed for couples
One choreography per song designed for solo dancers
Please watch each instructional video in its entirety.
The opening minutes show the completed dance exactly as it will appear on the night. Following this, the choreographers guide you through a detailed, step-by-step breakdown of the movements.
The teaching begins after the initial performance.
Do not stop watching after the first few minutes — the instruction lies beyond.
If the choreography feels overwhelming at first, don’t be discouraged. There is repetition woven throughout the sequences, and once you begin, the movement will settle into your body.
1) The Last Tango - James Dooley (this is the more difficult of the 2)
2) Vampyric Tango (the easier of the 2 so feel free to join the floor at the 2nd dance if you choose to only learn 1)
