The "New Year's" games, not always taking place on New Year's in the real world, has been more of an experimental one-shot than the other games I've run in the campaign. They all take place on the same in-world New Year's Eve, when Gotham City is in the grip of a horrendous blizzard and the Calendar Man has seized control of the city.
This has been more of a place for me to experiment with new games or specialized games that might not be appropriate for longer delves into Gotham City - although, thinking back, they might have also been the inspiration for the shorter-length duets that I've been doing as well.
I think I may do one more of these, then move to the next New Year, after the Summer on Baroque Hill and after the collapse of the Tricorner Island cops.....
I've found that players are really excited for these "seasonal" (in the real-life sense) games and look forward to them even if I forget about them!
