Your one and only source to the scandalous lives of Ayodhya's elite, and do I have some exciting news for you.

It has been a while since anything interesting has happened around here. The last we heard was about Aja, King Dasharatha's father, and his defeat against an elephant. The victory against this elephant allowed Aja to receive a magical spear, and ultimately, Aja became the King. But now, I am back and better with some insight into the lives of Ayodhya's elite.

Ayodhya is the beautiful capital of the kingdom Kosala. While surrounded by the waters of the Sarayu, a river whose waters cleanse all sin, scandalous talk is spreading. The summers are long and dry, while the monsoons seasons are long and humid.

But, Ayodhyans, I'm here to watch each and every one of your steps. Be warned, as no secret is safe with me :-)

The kingdom Kosala is ruled by King Dasharatha. King Dasharatha married three wives: Kausalya, Kaikeyi, and Sumitra. Together, the wives bore four sons to Dasharatha: Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana, and Satrughna.

All of the sons have grown up, and now the news is that two of Dasharatha's sons are about to venture out on their own. These two sons, Lakshmana and Rama, have grown up to be some fine young men. The kingdom has been home to them their whole life, but all of this is about to change.

Word is Sage Vishwamithra pleaded with King Dasharatha for Rama to accompany Sage Vishwamithra. Turns out, the two sons are off with Sage Vishwamithra on his request that Rama accompanies him to fight off the demons. Lakshmana decided to go with Rama. These two brothers are inseparable, but what will become of them as the venture into this treacherous journey?

Now, keep in mind that Sage Vishwamithra once was a king who was haugty and had anger issues. People feared Sage Vishwamithra's anger, and boy, I do not blame them. I can only image what kind of trouble this may cause for the two boys as they follow Sage Vishwamithra. But, people do say Sage Vishwamithra also is very kind in helping others in need. Hm... it's only a matter of time.

My ears are everywhere, listening to the gossip back at the kingdom and following the journey of these two men. So, I really am your only source to finding out what happens next.
