GTTN was officially established and recognized in 2020, but the vision and burden has been around for much longer. Currently, Gospel to the Nations has one representative being sent and supported. Following the Lord's leadership, our goal is to equip, train, and send others who share the same passion for the Gospel and the glory of Christ among the nations.
Following the leadership of the Holy Spirit in the call to Christ, the Cope family was led to organize Gospel to the Nations as a the agency through which they would realize all that God was leading them to accomplish. As the Cope family began the process of organizing this corporation for the purposes of reaching the Nations, the Lord began to show them the potential for GTTN to outlive and outlast anything they had imagined.
Today, our goal is support the cause of Christ and the message of the Gospel through missionary efforts by:
Engaging and Educating Christian Communities and Churches about the global purposes of God and the needs of the unreached and unengaged peoples of the Nations.
Equipping and Enlisting Christian Agents who will support this cause through obedience by being a Goer or a Sender.
Edifying and Establishing Christian Communities and Churches among the unreached and unengaged peoples of the Nations through the missionary work of our partners on and off of the field.
The work of missions cannot be summarized in a paragraph and it does not fit into a pamphlet. Our purpose and vision is to simply be obedient to the call of Christ and the command of the Gospel message; taking the hope of Christ to those who have never heard the Good news before. Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the unreached and unengaged in Chiquimula, Guatemala. Meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, by showing and sharing the love of Christ. We believe the greatest way to show love to others is to care about their eternity. While eternity is always in our mind, many of the individuals we minister to are unable to see past the very real needs in the current moment.
Chiquimula Guatemala is home to around 400,000 people and the majority of the population live in devastating poverty. Nearly 50%of the population lives on less than $1.90 a day. Almost 30% of the population can neither read or write. These every day issues create a culture of seeming hopelessness. We seek to show that there is hope in Jesus alone.
Prayer Note: Please pray for the people of Guatemala and the region of Chiquimula. Since the mandatory lock-downs from the COVID-19 Pandemic, a wave of crime, violence, and a massive increase of trafficking has led to increased problems within the country. Many are still out of work and starving. These desperate times have left so many in unimaginable hardships. Please pray with us for the all those affected, everywhere.
