This Privacy Policy explains what information Silly Games ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use the virtual reality application Gorilla Horror Remastered (the "Game") on Meta Quest devices, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By downloading, accessing, or playing the Game, you agree to the practices described here.=
Contact: For any privacy question or request (including access or deletion of your data), contact us at bloxianforever@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.
We collect only the data we need to run the Game, its online multiplayer, moderation, and safety features:
- Meta Account User ID (a pseudonymous account identifier), from the Meta Platform to authenticate you, verify you own the Game (entitlement), identify your account, save your progress and settings, associate you with moderation reports, and enforce bans and anti-cheat.
- User Age Group (an age category such as child, teen, or adult, not your date of birth), from the Meta Platform to provide an age-appropriate experience, apply additional protections for minors, gate age-restricted features, and comply with legal age requirements and Meta's platform policies.
- Device identifier, from your device used as the key for your player account when signing you in to our game services.
- Player display name, chosen by you in-game, shown to other players.
- Gameplay data (cosmetics owned or equipped, settings, progress, in-game statistics) to save your account and provide the Game.
- Multiplayer and motion data (connection data including IP address handled by our networking provider; your in-game position, movement, and hand/head tracking transmitted as game state) to connect you to other players and synchronize the shared multiplayer world.
- Voice chat audio, from your microphone and only while enabled — transmitted in real time to other players in your room so you can talk to them (see Section 4).
- Moderation and report data (reporter and reported player identifiers, the selected reason, and the room) — when you report another player, to review reports and keep the community safe.
- Technical and diagnostic data (crash logs, error messages, performance metrics) — to detect, diagnose, and fix bugs and improve stability.
We do NOT collect your real name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or payment card details through the Game. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Game and your player account.
- Connect you to online multiplayer sessions and synchronize gameplay.
- Save and restore your progress, cosmetics, and settings.
- Provide an age-appropriate experience and enforce minimum-age and platform requirements.
- Operate safety and integrity features: moderation, player reports, anti-cheat, and bans.
- Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the Game.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on these bases:
- Performance of a contract to provide the Game and its online features you request.
- Legitimate interests to keep the Game secure, prevent cheating and abuse, operate moderation, and improve the Game, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation to apply age requirements and respond to lawful requests.
- Consent where required, for example enabling in-game voice chat. You may withdraw consent at any time.
If voice chat is enabled, your microphone audio is streamed in real time to the other players in your room through our networking provider (Photon). We do NOT record, store, or process the content of voice chat on our servers. You can mute yourself and mute other players at any time in-game.
We use trusted third-party services ("processors") to operate the Game. They may process your data only to provide their service to us:
- Meta Platform Technologies account authentication, entitlement verification, User ID, and Age Group. Meta Privacy Policy: https://www.meta.com/legal/privacy-policy/
- Microsoft Azure PlayFab player accounts, saved data, and backend logic. Microsoft Privacy Statement: https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement
- Photon / Exit Games GmbH real-time multiplayer networking and voice transport, including handling of connection/IP data. Photon Privacy Policy: https://www.photonengine.com/en-US/Legal/Privacy
- Our authentication backend a server we operate (hosted on Vercel) that verifies sign-in and issues session tokens. Vercel Privacy Policy: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Discord player reports and operational logs are sent to a private channel we control for moderation purposes. Discord Privacy Policy: https://discord.com/privacy
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. We may disclose data if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our players or us.
Our providers may process and store data in countries other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep your account data (such as your User ID association, display name, cosmetics, and progress) for as long as your account is active. Moderation and report records may be kept longer where necessary for safety and integrity. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed for the purposes above, or upon a valid deletion request.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at bloxianforever@gmail.com. You can also manage or delete your Meta account data directly through Meta.
Account and data deletion: to request deletion of your player account and associated data, email bloxianforever@gmail.com with your in-game display name and in-game player ID. We will verify and process the request in line with applicable law.
Australian privacy: We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you have a privacy complaint, contact us at bloxianforever@gmail.com. If it is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
The Game is intended for players aged 13 and older, subject to the age rating on the Meta platform. We use the Age Group provided by Meta to determine whether a player meets the minimum age and to apply protections for younger players. We do not knowingly collect more personal data from a child than is necessary to apply these age protections. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided data in a way that is not permitted, contact us at bloxianforever@gmail.com and we will address it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including authenticated access to our services and encrypted transport. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-game or through the Game's store listing. Continued use of the Game after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
