Gordon is a musician, sculptor and magician.  

As Director, I embraced big cinematic ambition on a tiny budget with the mantra “we are going to win in the small”. There could be no competition for scale or scope.  We had to win with honest emotions and curated intimate details.

Gordon has a tremendous eye for performance — he defaults to truth,  humanity, and the power of keeping all characters alive in the dramatic flow.  Gordon is a musician finely attuned to the background instruments supporting the melody in front. 

Gordon is tireless. He never astops trying to elevate every moment.  His patience and tenacity allowed MH to soar. His musical gifts make him a consummate editor of temp score — so crucial to setting and communicating the TONE that powers the entire post process. 

He has a sculptor’s eye for manipulating footage through resizing to build and escalate moments of suspense, drama and comedy. But he’s also a SHOWMAN able to craft lavish musical sequences — and action — with tremendous heart and style.  But even those are sculpted with a storytellers’ eye on emotional thru-lines. 

Gordon’s editorial gifts and huge story-telling heart lifted my vision into reality.
