Gopro Session App Download

I am somewhat interested in getting a Go Pro for marathon runs, maybe a chest/head mount with the unit taking photos every few secs. I been looking at the session for this purpose, but curious to know if anyone has experience with using Go Pro during running races.

With the new $199 of the session it is on par (price wise) with gopro hero+ which was one of your budget recommendations. For those who are curious to experiment with a gopro for running race pictures and bike rides would you recommend a session over a gopro hero+?

Hi, I am looking at buying my first GoPro just for activities such as kayaking, fishing, filming water sports from the boat, swimming, 4WDing,general photos, etc. Nothing too spectacular. Do you recommend the Session for this kind of thing? I would rather not spend too much money so I am hoping the session will be right for me.

I have a question about the battery life on time lapse mode. Does the camera power off between captures? I need to do a time lapse capture over an entire day (at least) and was wondering if the gopro session could run that long without having to charge it in between. (Time lapse will be on a 60sec interval)

I want an action cam to get quick videos of my 11th month old. We have a beach vacation planned in April and I would really like to get some footage of the entire trip and then create a nice edited video. The price point of the Hero + and session are within my budget, but of course the Hero4 silver is the actual model that I want.

I think the session would be great when my daughter is a little older. The small size will make it easier for her to hold and hopefully she will give me some great shots just analyzing the camera in her hands.

Graet review! Just got a Hero 4 session black in the UK. Unfortunately ball mount connector in the original line up. My Jobe suction locking mount disintegrated after 2 months (one ball disintegrated and locking was impossible, just trying to get a new one).

Question: can you turn off the microphone?

I bought a session and i noticed that you had it to. There is a little white strip of plastic with a loop on it that comes in the same bag as the adhesive attachments. I gather it is not important or else you would have mentioned it but i am just interested in what it is there for.

I see you use the gopro 3 way pole quite a bit , did you experience loud creaking noise produced from the mount when moving the camera around? any ideas on how to reduce this vibration/noise?

I see there is a White Quick-release Anti-vibration Locking Plug for stick on mounts which comes with the camera link to gopro.com

Do you know if something like this would make any difference with the 3 way pole or if it would make any difference to the noise with a k-edge outfront go pro bike mount?

Speaking of these screws, during normal use of extending and unextending the arms, one of the screws (the screw that attaches the top third arm) actually unscrewed itself and fell out and ended up getting lost. I saw on other forums that this has happened to quite a few people too. I emailed gopro about getting replacement screws and they sent me out replacement ones free of charge.

You have no problems using a Sandisk Ultra? I read that is not recommended for gopros above the 2, and for latest gopros we should use UHS-I/U3 cards (like the Extreme Pro), but if you are using it in the Session, I will try one in case I buy the Session.

and if you know already for youself that you are not that hero ,look at all these chinese brands.Some of them are really good.i use them a lot while running around and for timelapse.

But ,yes ,gopro is the best and while using ,you are better than the rest..........

Seems a stupid move on the part of GoPro to drop the session cameras ?. Runcam and Foxeer are spending big copying the design. GoPro already did all the hard work and had a market for there product so why did the pull it from there line up.

So, yes, the Session's smaller dimensions force some compromises. But it also addresses some of the biggest criticisms leveled at the company's other Hero models. Like the name implies, the Session is GoPro's grab-and-go model -- the one that you'll take to shoot that skate session or ski session or hanging-out-with-your-family session, without having to worry as much about where and how you're going to shoot with it.

I know the picture quality is not crash hot compared to the hero 4 silver which I have one of but for the size of it so it is good what it can do and it suits me because the hero 4 silver is very intrusive in public over here in Australia. I recently came back from the Sydney Harbour where I met Prince Harry and use the hero 4 silver. On the train trip back I turn it off as a courtesy and when I got to my home location train station I ended up breaking my leg due to the barriers closing when they shouldn't have so would have loved to have had that on footage for compensation and would have solved the problem. So I will be getting one to use as security for myself and using the silver for my outing during the day. I'm a quadriplegic and the silver is very hard to push the button and I have to use a stylus and even then it's still hard whereas the session should be pretty easy with no outside hard casing. I already also have the remote control but it only gets about an hour and a half on 1080p at 30 frames per second chewing up too much on Wi-Fi. It is a tiny product and suitable for certain situations. If you want great quality you have to get either the silver or the black. But for my situation it will do me fine. The price is a bit of a problem and I agree it should be a lot less for the drop in quality, I'm sure it will come down in time but for me it's a case of need over dollar.
