This is a series of photographs that explores the boundaries between the digital realm and our physical reality, as well as notions of our public and private spheres, which have had to be reconsidered though the new ways in information is accessed and shared through digital technology.
Each photograph shows a domestic setting and mobile phone with a picture on the screen. Partially obscuring the underlaying content, the screen images appears to belong to that same source or reality as it’s surroundings. In fact, these images are screenshots of pictures that all have a history of their own, existing in a global network of shared information know to us as the internet, more specifically the platform Google.
This series was started in 2017. Pictures are continually uploaded to the webb to be shared, downloaded, modified, used or reproduced.
