1. Force Stop Your Google Chrome
Whenever Google chrome show not responding error, we think that it has stopped working but it still work in the background and consume more memory, which ultimately prevents the chrome pages to load properly.
Hence in such a case, you need to force stop the browser to close all the background tasks of Google chrome.
So, press Ctrl+ Shift+ Esc key altogether to open the task manager, then select Google chrome from the list and click on End task button. After that restart your PC and launch Google chrome again.
2. Get Rid of Unwanted Extensions
Unwanted extensions can also hamper proper working of Google chrome. So, you can remove these extensions on the chrome page itself. All you need to do is click on the three vertical dots located at the top right corner of the chrome page, then select more tools from the menu list and choose extensions from the tools list.

3. Upgrade the Chrome Browser to the Latest Version

To close the hardware acceleration, open the chrome settings and proceed to Advanced settings located at the bottom of the settings page. There under the system heading, you will notice the hardware acceleration option, just disable it and then check whether the Google chrome is working or not.
