The beginning orchestra is mostly made up of students in 3rd grade.  We work on building a solid foundation including how to hold the instrument, read music, play in time, develop the students ear, and much more.  Studying an instrument benefits the student in many facets.  It helps to develop good work ethic, team work, fine motor skills, and studies show it has a great affect on brain development. 

The advanced orchestra is usually made up of students in 4th-6th grade and have been studying their instrument for 1 year or more.  We work on advancing technique on the instrument along with performing a minimum of two concerts over the course of the year.
