WHAT IS BALANCED DOG TRAINING?
We create a black and white picture for each dog by celebrating success and with toys, treats, or pets and we correct mistakes. Dogs don't speak English, so it is important to teach them what are wanted behaviors and what are unwanted behaviors. This is accomplished through adding value to words. If you walk your dog every day and before you go you ask your dog "do you want to go for a WALK?", with consistency the word "walk" now means go out, explore, burn some energy. You could talk to your dog all, day but once you say "walk" it will trigger an excited response because they now have a set expectation of going out. That word now has a value to your dog.
With that in mind you also need to add value to words like "no", "drop it", "sit" ect. and we do this by creating expectation, using consistency, and by leveling up their abilities.
How do I choose a service?
Many clients participate in multiple services, they will attend group classes for the instruction, social experience, and additional practice while also receive private lessons for specific issues such as jumping, lunging, manner issues, or home-based issues like counter surfing or guarding. The choice will come down to your training needs and your personal schedule (how much time do you have for training?).
What are my payment options?
We accept most forms of payment to include cash app, venmo, paypal, cash, check, debit, or credit. We have payment options On-line or we except them in person. We are also very flexible and accept payments up-front to secure scheduling or class slots and we accept payment at the time of service.
