Following Pete Gonzalez's career as a wrestler, he went on to become a personal wrestling trainer and a coach in several new jersey high schools before opening his own club. he has been privately training wrestlers at the grammar school and high school level for over 25 years. he has an amazing record for leading young wrestlers to the championship level. He's well known in the wrestling community as the "trainer of champions'. his students range from wrestlers new to the sport to highly skilled wrestlers.

Also, shoutout to my family for coming all the way to Wildwood to hop in the time machine to relive the type of moments that meant the world to us all when I was growing up.

Pete Gonzalez (my private trainer from 7th grade onwards) was there and coached me like I was in the Olympic finals — we haven’t missed a beat.

As I was leaving, he said he wished we could’ve hung out. And I told him, “there will never be better time we spend together than when you’re in my corner. It’s all we know.”

Felt the need to share given how incredibly fortunate I felt not only for the experience I had today, but more importantly for the people I’ve been surrounded by and the wonder of this amazing journey.
