I’m a Spartanburg native, a homeschooling mother, a former educator, and a proud Converse University graduate. More than that, I’m one of you, someone who understands the daily realities and struggles of our community because I live them.
I’m running for County Council to be a voice for the people who are too often overlooked. Not the politically connected or the well-funded, but the average Spartanburg constituent:
The hardworking single parent doing everything they can to make ends meet with the help of financial assistance.
The child who depends on a free lunch at school to stay focused and nourished.
The college student juggling two jobs just to afford tuition and rent.
And the local entrepreneur, pouring their heart into a small business, trying to survive rising costs and bureaucratic roadblocks.
The senior citizen who lies awake at night, wondering if their next check will cover groceries, medication, and utilities.
As a former teacher, I know what it’s like to invest in others with limited resources. As a homeschooling parent, I understand the challenges and rewards of working outside traditional systems. And as someone deeply rooted in this county, I’m committed to building a government that reflects the real lives of the people it serves.
I’m not running to represent a party. I’m running to represent you. Your voice, your values, your vision for a better Spartanburg.
I believe that the current political system no longer works for the people, it works for power, profit, and preserving the status quo. Too many of our leaders are disconnected from the real struggles everyday people face. Instead of prioritizing families, communities, and fairness, they chase influence and self-interest.
It’s time for a new direction. We need new voices, new leadership, and a new path that puts people, not parties or profits, at the center of decision-making.
I believe in building a government that works for everyone, not just the wealthy or well-connected. That means ensuring access to basic human needs: quality education, nutritious food, safe and affordable housing, and healthcare you can count on. These aren’t luxuries, they are rights in a just society.
My political beliefs are rooted in compassion, equity, and action. I want to help create a government that reflects our values, responds to our needs, and restores trust in leadership.
We deserve better, and together, we can build it.
